what a lovely guest house. The hostess was so lovely, friendly and helpful. Guest house was immaculate, quirky warm and comfortable. Chef 10/10 food was delicious. Home made jam and warm scones absolutely amazing The location was ideal close to everything everywhere walkable ideal. Would definitely come back and have already recommended to friends and family
My husband and I stayed at Castle View Guest House and it was wonderful. Eleanor was the loveliest host (love ya guts)!! She went above and beyond to make sure we were settled in & well taken care of. Eleanor's scones served with an array of her home made jams and clotted cream were divine. Our room was so sweet and comfortable. The location is fantastic!! We would definitely recommend staying here to everyone.
My sister & I visited Inverness Sep 5-7 and stayed at Castle View Guest House. As the name suggests, there is an amazing view of Inverness Castle. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I loved the little details in our room—from Nessie on the window sill, to the linen spray for sleep. Complimentary whisky and a mini fridge with water and milk for tea or coffee is located in the alcove outside the rooms. Tea & coffee are available in the room. Breakfast was delightful. The best scones I’ve ever had. Eleanor, the proprietress, is so very kind and warm. We were leaving early for a tour the morning after we checked in and Eleanor made sure we had our breakfast available before we left. She even gave us a little bag of trail mix to take with us as a snack. The location is well situated and within walking distance to many of the restaurants, music venues, and shops as well as the train & bus stations. I plan to stay here again next time I am in Inverness.
Our first night was later then expected and couldn't find anything to eat. Eleanor came to the rescue. She is the best hostesses we have ever had. Very personable and helpful. The room was good and the breakfast was great. I'd highly recommend to anyone.
This was a last minute find & we were so very happy with our stay. Right in the heart of Inverness, and the accommodations were superb. From the room's coziness, and view of Castle & River Ness, to the amazing details(books & recommendations from Eleanor), fridge with chilled water, amazing cooked to order breakfast, fresh fruit, juice & homemade jams & Scones! So many personal touches. We loved every minute of our time here. Thank you!
Firstly, this lovely Castle View B&B was our favorite B&B in every category for our 12 day Scotland holiday. The Owner / host , a Devine lady named Elenor is the most kind and welcoming Scottish lady we ever met…she was just lovely and so helpful. However, it don’t stop there, Castle View hotel is beautifully decorated, the beds are so comfortable and the place is spotless clean. Eleanor personally cooks every customer a delicious Scottish breakfast every morning. We highly recommend Castle View Guest House for anyone traveling into Inverness!
My wife and I stayed here for two nights. If you are looking for a traditional bed and breakfast that feels like home, this place is it. Eleanor makes you feel like you are finally coming home after a long time away. The guest house itself is perfect located across the river from Inverness castle with gorgeous views of it from many of the rooms. The rooms themselves are perfectly decorated with a mix of function and form. They are efficient and comfortable with all the amenities you need, coffee and tea, closet, TV, rain shower, etc. The breakfast Eleanor lays out is half the reason to stay. She does an amazing job as host. The scones are incredible and homemade. I cannot recommend staying here enough.
It would not be an overstatement to say I would return to Inverness just to stay here again! This was our first stop on a trip around the country and it started it off on the perfect note. Eleanor and her staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious!!! She even accommodated when we needed to leave a bit earlier than the listed breakfast time, which we appreciated immensely. She was an absolute delight, and even cooked around my dairy allergy. Parking was easy with her instructions and the permit, and everything else was very walkable but quiet as I am a sensitive sleeper. Thank you Eleanor for everything!!
